Tangible was invited to exhibit Halo at this year's TIFF Kids Festival. Installed at the TIFF Bell Lightbox, the digiPlaySpace is designed to encourage kids three years and up, and their parents to play together while celebrating "the spirit of innovation, invention and creative exploration".
Halo fits this year's "playing and creating" theme perfectly. Wave, run, jump, play or dance right in front of the installation and it reacts with patterns of coloured light. The sculptural component is 16' x 8' with a wall of 72 RGB LED 'Halo' rings, all controllable by participant's movements.
Halo was created in collaboration with Travis Kirton and funded by the BC Film + Media Interactive Fund.
