Eyeo Festival 2012

Eyeo is an annual global get together in Minneapolis for artists, designers and coders. Around 500 turned out in early June to hear inspirational talks, learn from workshops and push the technology envelope in labs.

This year, Tangible sponsored the Festival and opened it with a live, quadraphonic audio and light performance.

The show began with an uncomfortable sound and lightscape before four Zygotes, and audience tension, was released. As participants interacted with the balls, more aurally friendly, pre-designed sounds were wirelessly triggered. To add an extra dimension, we also triggered and modulated sounds direct from the computer.
