Tangible invented the Zygote balls back in 2006 to create a fun, shared experience for audiences at concerts and events. These massive inflatables bring an unexpected element to crowds, reconnecting people to their sense of childlike wonder and reminding them how important it is to share joyous moments together.

systemThese 7-foot diameter balls transform large event venues into multidimensional, interactive playgrounds that let the audience become active participants in the performance. The lights can be interactive, controlled through wireless DMX, or pre-programmed with a series of animations. They are NFP certified safe for all venues and we provide a technician to handle setup and strike-down.

Operating Life
Zygotes are powered by rechargeable batteries with a one-hour operating life.
RGB LED Cube
The Tangible Pixel inside each ball emits a bright, even light that fills the Zygote.
Perfect Size
Zygotes are 2m (7’) in diameter. They have a big impact and an awe-inspiring effect.
Helium Filled
Zygotes are filled with a mixture of helium and air depending on the venue and environmental conditions.

Zygotes are ICC International Fire Code and NFP certified for use at any venue.
//how we work
Tangible Interaction sends a trained technician to inflate, launch and retrieve the Zygotes during an event. We ask for a few volunteer stagehands to help with launching and retrieval, since it can be a tall order in a large crowd.
Typically, we ask the client to source helium locally to fill the Zygotes. Also, a vaccuum is ultra helpful for deflating the balls after the event.//other shapes
/telophase: zygotes, only bigger
With two Tangible Pixels (LED light cubes) inside, Telophase is basically Zygote's big brother. These 15-foot-wide inflatables have all the same interactivity as Zygotes. In 'accelerometer' mode, Telophase responds to the crowd when ousted into the air with random displays of RGB colored light. Lighting directors can control Telophase wirelessly using DMX too — perfect for creating a choreographed show moment.
